No. Everything that is live today works without an account, and you never have to sign up, confirm an email address or solve a captcha. Accounts are in early access and will add tools to manage your links.

## What works without an account

- Shortening links on blinkhop.com, with or without a custom ending
- A print-ready QR code for every link
- Link previews: add `+` to any zou.sh link to see where it goes
- The REST API and the MCP server, without a key
- Links that never expire

The only limits are rate limits per IP address: 20 new links per minute and 300 per day on the website and the API, with separate limits for the MCP server. [What are the API rate limits?](https://blinkhop.com/help/api-rate-limits) explains how they work.

## What an account will add (early access)

Accounts are not open yet. With an account (early access), you will be able to:

- Change a link's destination after you share it
- Set expiry dates and click limits
- Follow your clicks in an analytics dashboard
- Save UTM presets and upload links in bulk from a CSV file
- Use branded domains and team workspaces
- Get an API key with higher limits

Some of these features come with paid plans. To hear when accounts open, join the early access list on the [pricing page](https://blinkhop.com/pricing#early-access).

## Links you create without an account

Links created without an account can't be edited later. We don't record who created a link: there is no account and no IP address attached to it, so nobody, including you, can prove a link is theirs. Before you share a link widely, add `+` to it and check the destination on its preview page.
