For creators

Tidy links for your bio, videos and show notes.

Blinkhop is a link shortener for creators who share links out loud and in print. Turn messy URLs into endings like zou.sh/ep42, with no ads in front of your audience and no sign-up.

The problem

What messy links cost you

  • 01

You can’t say it on air

On a podcast or a stream, a URL full of IDs turns into “check the description”, and listeners who were driving or cooking forget to look.

  • 02

    Ads before your page

Some free shorteners show an ad or a countdown page before the redirect, so your audience meets someone else’s message before yours.

  • 03

    Old links quietly die

Descriptions and show notes stay online for years. If the short links in them expire, your back catalog fills up with dead ends.

How it fits

From messy URL to something you can say

  1. Step 1

    Paste the long URL

Drop it on blinkhop.com. There’s no account or email to give, and the short link lands on your clipboard.

  2. Step 2

    Pick an ending

Choose something you can say in one breath, like zou.sh/ep42. Letter case doesn’t matter, so zou.sh/EP42 opens the same link.

  3. Step 3

    Grab the QR code

Every link has a QR code at the same address plus /qr, ready for stickers, merch tags and the last slide of a talk.

  4. Step 4

    Share it everywhere

Use the link in your bio, descriptions and newsletter. Add + to it any time to check where it goes and how many clicks it has.

Use cases

Where creators use short links

  • Podcast show notes

Say the link in the episode and put it in the notes. A listener who heard zou.sh/ep42 on a run can type it later from memory.

    zou.sh/ep42
  • Video descriptions

Keep the top of a description readable with a short link to your gear list, instead of a URL that wraps onto three lines.

    zou.sh/gear
  • Profile bios

Bios have tight character limits. A short link fits, and a fresh one can point to whatever you’re promoting this month.

    zou.sh/tour
  • Newsletters

Readers get tidy links they can trust, and anyone can add + to a link to check where it goes before clicking.

    zou.sh/issue-31
  • Merch and print

Put the QR code on stickers, tote bags or a zine. The link has no end date, so it works for as long as the merch is around.

    zou.sh/merch
  • Livestreams and talks

Show a short ending on screen or on your last slide, so viewers can type it before the stream moves on.

    zou.sh/slides

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do I need an account?

No. Paste a link on the home page and you get a zou.sh link, with a custom ending if you want one. Accounts, in early access, will add editing and an analytics dashboard.

Will my audience see ads or a countdown page?

No. Visitors go straight to your page through a standard redirect. Blinkhop makes its money from paid plans, not from advertising.

What makes a good ending to say out loud?

A short word, or a word and a number, like ep42 or gear. Endings take 3 to 40 letters, numbers, dashes or underscores, and a few words such as help and admin are reserved.

Can someone else take my ending?

Not once you’ve created it. Endings are unique regardless of letter case, so after zou.sh/ep42 exists, nobody can create zou.sh/EP42 either.

Can I see how many clicks a link gets?

Yes. Add + to the link, as in zou.sh/ep42+, to see its total clicks. Bots and app link previews are left out, so the number is a careful count of real visits.

Will links in old videos keep working?

Yes. A zou.sh link has no end date unless its owner sets one, which takes an account (early access), so links in your back catalog keep redirecting.
