Give your AI assistant a link shortener.
Connect Blinkhop to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or Windsurf with one URL. Your assistant can then create, batch and check zou.sh links on its own.

Three tools your assistant can use.
Your assistant decides when to call them. You just ask in plain words.
-
shorten_linkCreates linksShorten a link
Creates a short zou.sh link for one URL, with an optional custom ending. The same URL always returns the same link.
- url string
- The long URL, http or https.
- alias string, optional
- Custom ending: 3 to 40 letters, numbers, - or _.
“Make a short link to https://example.com/q3-report ending in q3-report.”
https://zou.sh/q3-report → https://example.com/q3-report

-
expand_linkRead-onlyExpand a short link
Shows where a zou.sh link goes, when it was created and how many clicks it got. Read-only.
- short_url string
- A zou.sh link, or just its code.
“Where does zou.sh/spring-sale go, and how many clicks does it have?”
https://zou.sh/spring-sale → https://example.com/spring (128 clicks, created 2026-10-11)
Ideas
Ask it like you’d ask a colleague.
Once Blinkhop is connected, these requests just work. Copy one to try it.
- Shorten every link in this email before I send it.
- Turn these 12 product URLs into short links and give me a table.
- Create a short link for our webinar page that ends in webinar-oct.
- Check where zou.sh/launch goes before I share it.
- Rewrite this post for X with short links so it fits the limit.
Under the hood
Standard MCP, nothing exotic.
The server follows the Model Context Protocol specification, so it works with any compliant client today and tomorrow.
- Stateless: each request stands alone, so nothing breaks if your client reconnects.
- Tool annotations tell your client which calls only read data.
- Same limits and safety checks as the API: blocked destinations are refused.
- Works over Tor and VPNs, with no captcha in front of your assistant.
Prefer plain HTTP? The same features are in the REST API. Something wrong? See MCP troubleshooting.

FAQ
MCP questions, answered.
What is an MCP server?
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants use outside tools. The Blinkhop MCP server gives your assistant three tools: shorten a link, shorten several links at once, and look up a zou.sh link.
Is the Blinkhop MCP server free? Do I need an API key?
It is free and needs no account and no key. Each IP address can make 120 tool calls per minute and 5,000 per day, which covers heavy personal use.
Which AI clients does it work with?
Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP, including Claude Code, Claude, ChatGPT (developer mode), Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf. Clients that only run local servers can connect through mcp-remote.
What data does the server receive?
Only the arguments of the tools your assistant calls: the URLs to shorten, an optional ending, or the link to look up. It never sees your conversation. Links created this way are stored like any other zou.sh link, without your IP address. See our privacy policy.
Can my assistant edit or delete links?
No. The tools can create links and read public information about them, nothing else. Editing destinations comes with accounts, which are in early access.
My assistant says a link was refused. Why?
The destination may be on our phishing and malware blocklist, be a private address, or already be a zou.sh link. The help article Why was my link refused? lists every reason.
