To connect Blinkhop, add one URL to your AI client: https://mcp.blinkhop.com/mcp. It’s a remote MCP server that uses the Streamable HTTP transport, and it needs no account or API key.
Connect Claude Code
Run this command in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http blinkhop https://mcp.blinkhop.com/mcp
Connect Claude (desktop and web)
- Open Settings → Connectors.
- Click Add custom connector.
- Paste
https://mcp.blinkhop.com/mcpas the URL and add the connector.
Connect ChatGPT
- Open Settings → Connectors → Advanced and turn on Developer mode.
- Add a new connector with the URL
https://mcp.blinkhop.com/mcp.
Connect Cursor, VS Code or Windsurf
Add Blinkhop to your client’s MCP configuration file. If the file already lists other servers, add the blinkhop entry next to them.
Cursor
In ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"blinkhop": { "url": "https://mcp.blinkhop.com/mcp" }
}
}
VS Code
In .vscode/mcp.json:
{
"servers": {
"blinkhop": { "type": "http", "url": "https://mcp.blinkhop.com/mcp" }
}
}
Windsurf
In ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"blinkhop": { "serverUrl": "https://mcp.blinkhop.com/mcp" }
}
}
Try it
Ask your assistant to “shorten https://example.com/a/very/long/link” or to “shorten every link in this draft”. Blinkhop gives it three tools: shorten_link, shorten_links (up to 50 URLs at once) and expand_link, which checks where a zou.sh link goes. The server allows 120 calls per minute and 5,000 per day per IP address.
The MCP server page has more details. If your client doesn’t connect, see My AI assistant can’t reach Blinkhop.
