No. Short links on zou.sh never expire unless their owner sets an expiry, and setting one requires an account, which is in early access. A link you create today without an account has no end date.
Links created without an account never expire
There is no inactivity timeout and nothing to renew. A link in an old post or a QR code on a printed flyer keeps redirecting.
Expiry dates and click limits (early access)
With an account (early access), owners will be able to set an expiry date or a click limit on a link, for example for a limited-time offer. Read more about link management.
Why a short link might stop working
- It was disabled for abuse. Anyone can report a link, and abusive links are disabled. Visitors then see a “This link was disabled” page (HTTP 410) instead of the destination.
- The destination page is gone. If the website moved or removed the page, the short link still redirects, but the page it lands on shows an error.
- There’s a typo in the code. Letter case doesn’t matter, but every character does.
Check a link
- Add
+to the end of the link, for examplehttps://zou.sh/launch+. - Read the destination, the creation date and the total clicks on the preview page, without visiting the site.
- If the destination looks wrong or harmful, use the Report this link form on the same page.
