Open the link’s preview page by adding + to it, then use the Report this link form. You don’t need an account, and you never have to visit the destination.
Report a suspicious zou.sh link
- Add
+to the end of the link, for examplehttps://zou.sh/7Kp2x+. The preview page shows the destination without opening it. - On the preview page, open Report this link.
- Describe the problem if you want to, for example “fake bank login page”, then send the report.
You can also report a link through the abuse form. Developers can send a report through the API:
curl https://api.blinkhop.com/v1/reports \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"short_url": "https://zou.sh/7Kp2x", "reason": "Fake bank login page"}'
What happens next
We review reports, and abusive links are disabled. Once a link is disabled, visitors see a “This link was disabled” page (HTTP 410) instead of the destination.
A report stores only the link code, your optional reason and the date.
How links are checked at creation
Every destination is checked when the link is created, against a blocklist of about 390,000 phishing and malware domains. The list is refreshed every night from two open sources: URLhaus (abuse.ch) and the Phishing.Database project. Links with embedded credentials (user:pass@) and links to private or local addresses are refused too. Reports catch what the blocklist misses. Read more about link safety.
Links from other shorteners
We can only disable zou.sh links. To report a link from another shortener, contact the service that created it.
